in Noosa, Queensland (Australia) the Biosphere
Managers Workshop is designed to produce a
series of case studies of UNESCO Biospheres
as living examples of Education for Sustainable
Development and Bioversity, in the current
UN Decade and Year featuring these themes.
Keynote
addresses will be provided by Dr.
Natarajan Ishwaran the Director
of Unesco's MAB program, Dr.David
Bellamy international conservation
authority and television presenter and key
experts associated with the nomination of
the Noosa and Great Sandy Biosphere Reserves.
The
workshop will then develop a methodology for
Biosphere managers to begin preparing case
studies on their reserves, including full
participation and discussion of comparative
experience. There will be a Field
Trip to key points in the Noosa
Biosphere and a dinner.
The
Biosphere Managers Workshop
is held in conjunction with the Global
Eco Asia-Pacific Tourism Conference
and is open for anyone to attend, registration
for the day is $495.
