Host Region 2013
We are currently in the process of selecting the host region of this year's Global Eco Conference. More information will be coming soon!
Cairns, Queensland 2012
The host region of this year's Global Eco conference is Cairns in Tropical North Queensland. View special delegate deals for the Carins and Port Douglas region.
| Cairns is located on the northeast coast of Australia, just between the Coral Sea and the Atherton Tableland. The region is proud to present Queensland's tallest mountain, Mr. Bartle Frere, and two World Heritage-listed attractions (Great Barrier Reef and Wet Tropics rainforests). The population of Cairns is estimated to be 130,594 which is growing every year at an average rate of 1.8%. |
||
Due to the city's location in the Wet Tropics, the climate is hot during summer months with mild and dry winters. The temperature is ranging from 23-31C in mid-summer, which is also the rainy season, and 18-28C in mid-winter.
Cairns offer a range of activities in the region, so there is something to do for everyone. Visit www.cairngreatbarrierreef.org.au for a full list of activities.
