Ecotourism Australia and its subsidiary Sustainable Tourism Australia has proclaimed 2010 Year for Responsible, Ethical and Sustainable Tourism.

In line with Ecotourism Australia’s mission, this Year is both the continuation of nearly two decades of supporting and advocating for environmentally and socially responsible tourism and the starting point of a new strategy. The main goal of the Year will be to demonstrate the benefits of responsible, ethical and sustainable tourism in Australia.

As the world becomes more and more concerned with the issues of climate change and environmental degradation, tourism in Australia must rise to the new challenges at local, national, regional and international levels.
